In this year, Mercedes moved away from the front steering cab and used a rounder cab contour. The SK variant was released in 1988.

The Actros was released in 1996 and to this day is the flagship when it comes to Mercedes trucks. This type is designed for long distances. Of the Actros, 4 different cabs are available; The megaspace, the sleeper cab, the medium cab and the short cab. The first two variants feature a raised roof. Only the megaspace has a flat floor. Both are available with single-cab interiors.
The medium and short cab do not have the luxury of a raised roof. These trucks are less suitable for sleeping a lot in. The short cab does not even include a sleeping cabin.
The Actros is a versatile Mercedes truck. This is also reflected in the wide choice of available engine variants. The power of these varies from 320 to 580 hp. This is the latest Mercedes truck model. The Antos is the replacement for the Axor and covers the 18- to 26-ton segment. Because this mercedes truck is used for many different purposes, it comes with versatile engine options. With a minimum output of 235hp rising to 503hp. This power is delivered by the 6 cylinder euro 6 turbodiesel. Of these, there are three sizes: the OM939 (7.7 liters), the OM470 (10.7 liters) and the OM471 (12.8 liters). The interior of the Antos is almost identical to that of the Actros, giving the entire cabin a luxurious appearance.
This Mercedes truck puts its focus on distribution transportation. With a weight range of 6.5 to a maximum of 16 tons, the Atego is suitable for tight city traffic. In total, the Atego has both three different cab body options and cockpit variants. The long cab is the largest cab variant. This one is great for multi-day rides. The middle segment is covered by the extended short cab followed by the short cab.
The cockpit can be expanded from the standard equipment to the comfort cockpit. It is characterized by extra space under the dashboard and more storage compartments. The most luxurious version is equipped with a tip shift, mulitfuncion steering wheel, follow me home lights, and parking brake and lighting alerts.
The power output of this mercedes truck varies from 156 to 299hp. This power is transmitted by a powershift 3-speed automatic transmission with 6,8 or 9 gears. This gearbox is adjustable with different driving programs to maximize fuel efficiency.
